Shoulda2 and et al,
How do you solo the Firetongues for Battling the Shissar even though they summon? The Greenhouse is usually taken on my server so this would be a nice diversion waiting for it to free up.

Tip #1: Pull around them. Unless Katta Castrum has been up for a very long time, there ought to be a decent enough selection of other shissar for Serpent Slayer, which isn't picky.
Tip #1.5: Shissar Shadowslither. Instacasts mana drain DoT. Does ugly things to my mana pool and I am rather well equipped. Avoid if at all possible. If not possible, kite at farthest range. Do not kite 2 at once, ever.
Oh wait, that task. It doesn't get better with shissar selection. But if you insist. . .
Tip #2: Stay within their casting range, soak up their attempts to nuke you while laying on the DoTs. Hope that you have enough laid on to kill them slowly once they run out of mana. Use spectre so that you have some source of aggro on the shissar even if you have to FD.
Tip #3: Shissar are unpredictably stupid about slopes. Stay on the same Z axis and it won't warp, but it will never take the same route twice to get to you. This can be handy for getting a lot more mileage out of a limited time to run away from the summoner.
