Ulthorks in EW.

Head along the edge of the zone, dont fall in the water though! Move upwards along the coast until you see ulthorks, pull them to the wall and fear kite them. Simply drop snare, drop fear, drop dots and sick pet...repeat. If you get adds (Which you probably will), they will be easily dealt with, just snare any adds and fear them, you can dot them too if you have huge nuts and a huge mana pool, or just keep it feared until you are ready to deal with it. VERY EASY kills and quick levels here. Great place to learn how to fear kite too.

Also don't forget to Save the Tusks. You can turn in 4 Tusks for greater Gems in Cobalt Scar to a NPC on the beach. You don't need CoV faction for this but it is recommended in case invis fails. The following is copied from http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=962

You say, 'who are the ulthork'

Chief Kalan says 'The Ulthork are walrus people. They are just as territorial and brutish as the Bulthar but are slightly more intelligent. They seem to be jealous of my peoples prosperity and occasionally lead raiding parties onto our beaches. Our craftsman use the tusks of the slain Ulthork to carve ivory totems of praise to the ocean lord. I will gladly barter for no less than four pairs of Ulthork tusks.

Im gonna have to disagree with messing with the ulthorks until your at least even to them, they are red to me at 35 and resist everything I throw at them. But that doesnt mean the walruses arent good experience at 35, go for the DB ones but if none are around kill the yellow. The yellow are harder but better then messing with the red walruses and ulthorks.

You are in the wrong area. You are in the far SW, next to Icetooth (the dog, whatever), and the ulthork man-o-wars.

The area discussed, which is pretty clear in the first post, in the mid north of Eastern Wastes. Ulthork hunters and warriors, levels range from about 29-34. Walruses are no higher than the lower hunters.

Ahh that would be why I was having difficulty with the ulthorks, but it is not clear in the first post at least it wasnt for me but thank you for clearing it up!

Np hehe I wouldnt have found the right camp spot if it wasnt for you and boy is this NICE/EASY experience! Whats even better is the ulthorks drop velium weapons which your pet can dual wield and it has a 12 point dmg proc that will proc with your pet (proc lvl 25?) One thing I found out real quick is after you snare these bad boys , run but dont run too far away from them. I did that one time and came back to find he wasnt chasing me. Unfortunately though when I got close enough he did remember me and he agroed his other friends so I had a train of 6-8 ulthorks to iceclad ocean. I personally found agro kiting easier with the ulthorks but Im sure fear kiting will also work as well. Also you will find out quickly that the warriors are higher lvl so be ready for them, the hunters are somewhat easier then the warriors. And also dont be alarmed by the wooly rhinos, these big red behemoths walk around with the ulthorks but they dont scowl at me AND they DONT ADD with the ulthorks. If you want to mess with the rhinos be careful I know kunark rhinos are fast and mean , not sure about velious ones.
